Temi Sokunbi, Physiotherapy
As a Physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health, Temi Sokunbi enjoys working with a diverse clientele of all ages and believe in the body’s ability to heal through mindful movement.
I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors of Physiotherapy from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy practice (2012) from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning with post-graduation courses in Pelvic Floor and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with a particular interest in back pain, female urinary incontinence and dyspareunia.
I have over 15 years’ experience (from Nigeria, United Kingdom and Canada) with relevant experience in women’s health, musculoskeletal and geriatric practice. This has influenced my biopsychosocial approach to the management of pelvic floor conditions. I place high value on the therapeutic relationship with my clients and my treatment approach is a mix of hands-on, exercise prescription and client education to name a few.
I love spending my free time reading books of various subjects from the history of civilization to mindfulness and the power of positive thinking. I have also developed a love for yoga and meditation.
